Now, I am not a big breakfast person, never have been.  I just can’t imagine powering down a meal when I’m not even fully conscious yet.  But inevitably, by the time I get to the office I’m hungry.  So to avoid the vending machine I’ve started making some healthy smoothies that I can sip on my way to work or drink at my desk once I get there.  Because I don’t care for dairy I never worry about my smoothies being anything but completely healthy and light.  I usually just use what ever fruit is in season, some juice and add some honey.  To prevent them from having a watered down taste I also don’t use ice.  Instead, I freeze the strawberries, raspberries, and even bananas to give it that smooth frozen texture.  Lets just say it’s almost impossible to screw this one up.  For mornings when I know time will be tight I make my smoothie the night before and put it in a travel mug.  I’ll grab it and go, by the time I get to work it is thawed enough to sip while I check my emails.  Smoothie recipes are going to completely depend on your personal taste and what is in season.  Some of my favorites ingredients to use are:






Juice (whatever is in the fridge) OJ, lemonade, apple juice
